40 weeks pregnant today. I have bounced on a ball, done plenty of stairs, walking, extra spicy food, eggplant parm which gave me bad heartburn, just dance 4, throwing my child in the air and squatting, evening primrose oil and nothing. Well I do feel some stuff here and there but nothing consistent. 2nd pic is me trying to make an angry face to baby but my acting wasn’t well. 3rd pic is our little mls soccer player. Maybe something tomorrow? Maybe daddy’s bday on Monday? Maybe never??? Who’s to say?!?
39 weeks today. I think every pregnant woman towards the end of pregnancy wonders if a baby will ever come out, as if they will be pregnant forever. Somewhat of my denial as well. I’m not impressed w the end of this pregnancy yet. Not feeling much. I am dilated though so maybe when I get to the hospital the baby will just come out like the groundhog when she makes her appearance?
Our weekend consisted of Princess Leia teething a little and a walk at St Johns campus. So far still a family of 3!
3 years ago today the Castros tied the knot! It was a beautiful warm spring day. I’m a very lucky lady! Happy Anniversary to the best husband and daddy :)
2 years ago this week, my husband and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary in Turks and Caicos. We also were surprised to find out that we were pregnant with baby JoJo while we were vacationing. 2 years later we will be celebrating our anniversary by going to dinner and a movie - times have changed, for the better of course :) Yesterday Jocelyn turned 16 months, which means that if we go full term we have 1 month alone together. I’m trying to take advantage of this time with her and even though we are excited to have another permanent house guest, I will miss our “just 2 girls” times together. Have a great week everybody!
The other day Jo was massaging her little sissie. I’m sure she doesn’t understand the concept of a baby being in there, because when we ask her where the baby is, she points at her belly too :)
Well this Thursday it will be 35 weeks, that’s why I’m holding up my 5 fingers, get it? Photos above show all of my emotions: happy/excited, scared/nervous, in denial about sleepless nights happy face, and my all about business face. In all seriousness, we are thrilled and even more happy about this gorgeous weather. For at least one time I can wear this maternity dress I bought a while back. There’s a little sneak peak of Jocelyn’s new crib in the background. We’ll get her in there as soon as we finish some of the furniture in the room.
Also I placed a bet w the husband that I think baby g número 2 will be arriving either may 5th or 7th. He says may 2nd or 10th. Whoever is closest wins. If I win, he watches both kid while I get a mani pedi and if he wins, he gets to watch any Star Wars/Harry potter/any nerd fantasy movie of his liking. My terms: I don’t need to be there watching with him :)
I would consider the Castro fam a mini Von Trapp minus the whole fleeing the Nazi regime story. Nelson plays the guitar and we do sing a lot of mini songs with Jocelyn. She even has her own JoJo song from when she was born that she sings along with us now (or at least attempts to). Our whole goal is to have her become some sort of musical genius, maybe the next Beyonce so we can all retire and have a home in Turks and Caicos. Our master plan. Well she’s working on her itsy bitsy spider - a little clip for this morning :)
Chicken nuggets and ketchup? Nope! These are actually bananas and strawberry preserves! Find out how to make these and other yummy jokes.
Happy Friday everybody! We hope you have a great weekend. Our little girl is the politest person in this home. Says thank you all the time, and when she hands you things she says it too, so she expects it back. Working on the please part. Doesn’t work well when she wants her milk N-O-W!
